Second year Pharmacy Students and Computer-Aided Drug Design

As part of the curriculum of block VIII, PharmD students at the faculty of Pharmacy learnabout drug discovery in order to achieve the educational objectives of this unit. Therefore,second year PharmD students, receive various practical training sessions, including thedesign of drugs using modeling and simulation programs where students study molecularmodeling and docking using the computer and its various applications.

It is worth mentioning that the Faculty of Pharmacy in an unprecedented step at the Libyan International Medical University, has set up a simulation laboratory in which practicalsessions are implemented for the different disciplines of the sciences that are taught tostudents in the foundational stage of the program such as: pharmaceutical chemistry,pathology and pharmacology, in addition to courses of clinical stage of the program such as:therapeutics, clinical pharmacology, toxicology, self-care management, therapeutic drugmonitoring and pharmacovigilance.
