Dr. Wael Al-Hawari, a member of the Medical Advisory Committee, praised the support provided by the Libyan International Medical University as part of the efforts to establish a molecular biology laboratory for the diagnosis of PCR virus disease at the Kuifiya Teaching Hospital for Thoracic Diseases.

Al-Hawari pointed to the university\’s scientific, in-kind and financial assistance, which consisted of some equipment and money, and the presence of faculty members of the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences (BMS) in the laboratory for 24 hours (permanent residence):

(1) Dr. Rashad Shawky, Assistant Professor at BMS faculty who specializes in molecular viruses, who has actively contributed to the calibration and preparation of the PCR and supervising the necessary tests.

(2) Dr. Musa Faraj al-Obaidi, faculty member of BMS faculty who specializes in medical genetics and molecular diagnosis.
